How does your data mirroring work and how up to date is the data?

ByteonSite uses proprietary technology through VPSGrid to mirror data over a private network to a secondary device. Your data is always stored on two physical nodes in the cluster effectively limiting your chance of downtime and data loss.

We have two different replication processes, one that handles temporary data and database data and one that handles everything else. Database files are treated with extra care to prevent corruption. Data is mirrored near real-time over the network depending on the size of the update and the type of file.

Data mirroring, just like RAID1, is not a replacement for backups. This will not protect you from cases of software corruption or accidental deletion.
